Valle Isarco is fascinating as a hiking area; diverse and exciting from the valley floor upwards. The Corno del Renon and the pyramid-shaped Sarentino Alps to the west, the famous Dolomites with their towers, serrations and peaks in the east, and a plethora of paths, climbs and via ferratas in between. These lead through valleys, across meadows and mountain pastures, from one mountain refuge to the next or, further down, from farm to farm, village to village or along the Isarco river.
